Bow Cycle is a family owned business that has been in operation for 60 years. Opened in 1957 by Jim and Mary Sibthorpe, Bow Cycle was first established as a small bicycle and sporting goods store in beautiful downtown Bowness, Alberta. The Sibthorpe sons successfully managed and grew the business for 30 years. In 2005, Longtime employees John Franzky, Darrell Elliott, Kurt Christensen, Kevin Senior and Dave Leung joined the ownership group as well as Joel Sibthorpe.
A lot has changed since the store's early days. The store has grown to become Canada's largest and most successful bicycle retailer.more...See more text
Bikes were not ready on the date promised.Even thought a phone call was made and they said they were DONE.Made it my fault, my problem.Which it wasn't . Great sales staff. But the repair show all talk. Take responsiblity for YOUR mistake. I won't be back.
Very poor service. Twice I've had my bike in for same repair. Twice I leave with damages and this time they didn't even bother completing the repair and reconnecting my wiring so I'm paying another shop to fix bow cycles fix. Too boot the service gives insane attitude saying it's my fault and indirectly calling me a poor customer. Break my bike, don't complete their repair and say I'm the difficult one. If you value customer service and if you value your bike I highly recommend going elsewhere!
As a potential customer I was greeted with enthusiastic sales people that were passionate about riding and not appearing to close a sale. The first person to approach me was Ryan (it was written on his shirt) who educated me on some phenomenal road bikes and then Big Dave who convinced me that I need a Freeride Bike for the summer. They tell me that they have 4,000 bikes on the floor at one time. A great retail experience and I will be back. I can honestly say that this is the only bike shop that I felt I needed to take a photo of.
