I went in to have some high end winter boots repaired. He made a mess of it! I had to pay upfront. He didnt do the job right and then said he couldnt do it. I never got a refund. A hack and dishonest.
Took in a pair of boots to have the heel repaired. For the price he quoted a could have bought a new pair. He offered to take the boots off my hands for free if I didn't want to fix them. On another occasion I asked him to smooth out some bumps under the insole and again, quoted more than the price of the boots. No thanks.
I agree with previous submitter that this guy is a hack. Poor workmanship and this is the reason he wants to get payed up front each and every time. Once he gets paid then u have no recourse! Take it or leave it. How many businesses out there require you to pay up front?? This guy also lacks in personality, and has the nerve to demand a tip for his sub standard work. Definately would not recommend this guy. There are other shoe repair places that are way better. Don't waste your time.
