2 halibut, 1 chip and 1 coleslaw for $35.99. Pricy for nothing better than any.
This was our first visit. Staff are pleasant and friendly, not to mention patient and helpful. Prices are very reasonable and the fish was quite good, not greasy and the fries were excellent. Next trip will try the Halibut or White fish and maybe check out a pie to take home too. Nice decor, good lighting, and quite clean.
This is the Scottish fellow and his wife who ran Mc Nees Lovely Grub in Etobicoke for years before they sold it. It is not as nice there as when the Scottish couple ran it. At any rate they opened this one up near DVP and Lawrence, and it is very good. Some of the young girls bring you the wrong thing but they mean well. Halibut is very good as are the chips, or a salad substitute. Licensed as well which is useful. Very clean and spotless for a chippy. Very good, highly recommended. Too bad they dont give you cole slaw with the meal as most chippies do.
Visiting Toronto we wanted a good Chippy and a local highly recommended this restaurant. It was clean and the service was very polite and friendly! We loved the fish, but I was disappointed in the chips. True "chips" are what we Americans call, "plank fries." These were regular french fries and were cooked in old oil. Otherwise, our meal was great. They nicely wrote out the cooking directions for my two pies and these travelled well in the ice chest (left for home that afternoon). Both pies were fantastic!
Restaurant was extremely clean and the food was excellent.
Very clean restrooms! Friendly service! Good stuff
It was ok, it didn't seem as if it was completely cooked. They need to step up their game.
The best fish and chips I have ever had. Staff is very friendly. Since it is now lent, this place is going to be really busy on Fridays.
The halibut was the best I have ever had and absoluteky done to perfection
If you love fish and chips this is the only place in Toronto to eat it. The staff are great, the Irn Bru ( scottish drink of the gods ) is cold and the fish is delicious.
Worst Fish & chips I've ever had, the fish was cooked in old oil & the chips were the worst.
I live right down the street from it and go alot because it's so close, everyone there is friendly except one waitress who always looks miserable. The service isn't that great they always forget to give tartar sauce and sometimes when you ask for a certain kind of fish you get another. It's still tasty though and the only fish and chips in the area.
The Halibut and Chips was top notch however the breaded clams were obviously packaged and not so good ...Which raises the obvious question why go to a Scottish Fish and Chippy for breaded clams :)..so I will omit error injudgement from my rating...
This is the best place for fish and chips in the whole city. It use to be in the west end under another name, but moved to Underhill in North York about a year ago. The place is spotless and the service is great. Best of all is the food.
