From completing his studies in aerospace and communications, Élie Rodrique Belogun gained a passion for education. “When I arrived in Quebec, I decided to start a not-for-profit organization with friends. We would visit schools to talk about motivation with students,” recalls the entrepreneur. “And that is when I realized the learning difficulties teachers are facing and the few resources they have to support their students.”
In 2012, Élie decided to launch Ressources-Académia to support the work of teachers by providing students with the tools they need to learn better. “I wanted to build an environment to support students as much as their educational progress. It is not easy for a teacher who has 35 students in his or her class to take the time to work with each one of them. Add to that the multicultural character of Montreal, and you have highly diverse classes, both culturally and cognitively. I wanted, with Ressources-Académia, to support the work done by teachers by providing customized services for personalized learning in order to facilitate learning for every student,” he explains.
