You won’t strike out at this late-night spot! This 1940s bowling alley is open until 1 am on weekends and offers five- and 10-pin bowling options. Go to the upstairs lanes in the evenings for glow-in-the-dark black light bowling with radical neon colours that are sure to brighten up your night.
Escape rooms might not be everybody’s idea of a good time, but this Gastown spot is more about detective work than anything scary. Between four and 16 individuals are "trapped" in a themed room for 45 minutes and must try to escape using the clues found during the course of the game. SmartyPantz is open until 11:30 pm for late-night adventures among puzzling pals.
Who’s up for some night golf? Open until midnight on weekends and until 10 pm on weeknights, Richmond’s 18-hole indoor mini golf centre was created by a group of artists. This colourful and creative glow-in-the-dark course offers a memorable all-ages experience.
Go retro and try five-pin bowling at Granville Street’s historic Commodore Lanes. Open since the 1930s, this late-night bowling alley has been a hot spot for dates and parties for decades. In addition to bowling lanes, visitors can also challenge their friends to a game of billiards. The venue is open until 11:30 pm throughout the week and until 12:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Described as "Planet Hollywood for geeks," Storm Crow Tavern is a pub that works for non-drinkers, too, thanks to an extensive late-night menu, a plethora of nerd memorabilia on the walls and stacks of board games waiting to be played. Chow down on some pub grub while you play until late in the evening. The Commercial Drive tavern is open until 1 am throughout the week and midnight on Sundays.
