Beach Bay Café’s new addition to the team Chef Felix Zhou brings a fresh take on beach cuisine in a warm and welcoming space that boasts hard-to-beat beach views in English Bay’s most enviable sunset spot. Go for beautiful fish dishes, bottomless mimosas at Sunday brunch and inventive cocktails from Adrian Linder behind the bar.
The team behind the popular meat-centric Buckstop on Denman recently opened this underground Italian joint hidden down some steps off Davie. The Blind Sparrow gastrotavern recently took over the old LeftBank space and has quickly become a popular place to hang out on Denman. The new venture in the former Lips Bistro space serves up comfort food classics such as popcorn chicken and crispy fried Humboldt squid. Check out the cocktail menu and have a taste of XFour vodka – a locally distilled spirit – in the Blueberry Smash.

Converting a third of the original Hapa Izakaya into a ramen bar has given Robson another Japanese noodle option, and this one offers chicken-based broth with added authentic extras such as maa-yu, black-charred onion oil.
