Visited the Ivy with a group of seven people over the weekend. We were greeted by a very unpleasant security guard who, to be quite honest, looked like he hated his job. We were then shoved in and had to stand in the door way for ten minutes before we could make our way in. Fire hazard to say the least. I was finally able to find a waitress who worked there. When I told her politely that she should probably have the door way cleared, she mouthed off to me. I then asked to speak to the Manager and she told me she was the Manager. She was rude and it was enough for me and my entire group to leave. I had visitors from out of the country and I was trying to show them a good time but that was clearly not going to happen here. Terrible service and I will not be back.
We went for lunch...sat on the patio and were served within 5 minutes. Waitress was a bit slow, but I think she was waitressing the entire patio, so it's excusable.
Pub food is pub food...all the same deep fried foods. It's great how they have breakfast until 2pm however.
I would like to go back for maybe a beer and some appetizers, but the actual meals were nothing to brag about...same old I suppose!
Just be aware...the BBQ chicken wrap on the lunch menu is NOT the same as the BBQ chicken wrap on the main menu...big disappointment!!
I would go back to try the wings - but overall it was just a regular pub dinner - nothing exceptional - just ok.
It was nice to sit outside - but I cannot imagine people wanting to visit this place and sit indoors - the interiors are sooooo old and disgusting - The restaurant needs a make over -quick.
The Ceasars were on special that day and they were the best part of the experience.
Would love to say that we tried the food, but that's not the case.. We arrived on the Patio of this restaurant at 20:00 on Friday Sept 4th.
We sat for 25 minutes without evening being acknowledged that we were there by any staff member. Not even as much as offering a drink.
So we left at had dinner at another restaurant on main street where they actually take the time to
notice that you are there...
Very poor customer service !!!!!!!!!!!!
