Disgusted with 3 workers.

First time ordering and last.While I waited for my food I ordered take out I watched them prep my meal.The guy at the front counter was playing on a phone.The girl told him my order.He placed the phone down rinsed his hands under water wiped his hand on a towel that he had sitting on the front counter and started to make the sushi with his bare hands.When he went to cut the sushi with a knife he wiped the knife before cutting it with the same towel that he wiped his hands with.1st turn off.2nd the guy in the back making my rice dish was picking his back tooth with his finger.He also handled my chicken on a knife placing it in a tray.2nd turn off.The 3rd is the girl went in the back blew her nose beside him where he was preping my dish threw her klennex out and did nt wash her hands.She then handled my trays and placed them in a bag.I should of walked out then.But instead I payed for the meal and honestly discarded the whole bag in a trash can down the road,It was a 3 in one turn off of the day.

Ikki was just that; a little bit icky. Went for dinner here on a Sunday, around 5:30. This small older style restaurant seems family run and perhaps a little rundown. There was 1 head chef, another sous chef, and 1 waitress for an entire restaurant. Service was alright at first, but as the take-out orders began to overwhelm the waitress, there was very little attention given, and we had to struggle to flag down the waitress. At the end of the meal, while waiting to get the waitress' attention for awhile, we finally had to just get up, otherwise she never would have attended to us. It started off with a miso soup, which the two of us both enjoyed. The sushi itself lacked something. Both myself and my spouse were disappointed, and we're used to relatively low grade all you can eat sushi. The California roll didn't taste quite right; when normally I like any type of California roll, I was reluctant to eat this one. The rest of the meal (vegetable tempura, sliced beef, rice, salad) was adequate. The price was moderately inexpensive. Might be persuaded to go again, but only if in the area, craving sushi, and we can't find anything else.

I liked it

I liked it, it was an older style restaurant, small, cozy. food was good and prepared fast. service was great. Not for those who want a modern place, but if you're not picky then its a great place to go.

HORRIBLE!

I never realized "service" in ANY restaurant could be so bad... First, I was trying to order food from them and they don't know their own neighbourhood! Their delivery area is rather small. So after I found out that they don't deliver pass Midland Ave, which the guy should have told me right at the beginning of the "delivery" conversation (funny enough no word about it on their horrible website!), I decided to pick up the food...so according to the guy on the phone it would take AN HOUR !!! (around 12 o'clock, Thursday - later on I order thai and it took them 25 minutes! ) When I tried to get the order earlier and he told me that he can't guarantee the food to be ready. Then I asked what about the hour- he said the same! The best was when he proposed to me that I could come there after the conversation and WAIT for the FOOD...and since he could not guarantee when the order would be ready, can you imagine how long would I be sitting there?????? I was at on the job, so there was NO option to come, sit and wait for the food. I asked him numerous times to just give me a time for a pick up but his answer was that he doesn't know. I still don't understand how is that possible since EVERY OTHER restaurant can estimate the pick up time without any problem! During the phone conversations I was YELLED at a couple of times, and told to go somewhere else. I feel really sorry for the owners. They don't have ANY IDEA what is happening there. If he ever has any questions why his restaurant is not doing that great, well, here you are.

This restaurant USED to be one of our favourite...

This restaurant USED to be one of our favourite sushi places. Unfortunately our sushi today was very of poor quality. The tuna was GRAY in colour (it should be a nice deep red) and was also CHEWY. I have NEVER had chewy sushi before. Will not visit again.
