We were waiting patiently in line behind this man (jjohnson below) & had heard everything. The restaurant was very busy & the staff politely informed him that some menu items HAVE NOT changed prices in 2 years (instead of what he said) & apologized that they've not been able to print new menus in time to reflect recent changes & that's why they have a disclaimer " Prices Subject to Changes Without Notice" ( as many businesses use such disclaimer). We have ordered the Shanghai Noodles in the past & you get a huge portion of noodles with shrimp, chicken, pork & veggies...a great deal for $11.95! I can understand the complaint if the price change was ridiculously exorbitant but for a 'LOUSY BUCK", just pay the price it was meant to be! My family & I will continue to patronize Fong's Villa as we have done so for many years for its great food, great prices & great service!
This ones new. We went here with a friend. She ordered shangai noodles priced on the menu 10.95.When we got the bill she was charged 11.95. My husband pointed out the error to 2 wait staff who quickly pointed to the menu to fine print that said prices subject to change without notice. They informed us the price had changed 2 years ago but they hadnt gotten to changing it on the menu. For clarity changing the menu is writing over the original price in ink!. For the lousy buck they lost 3 customers who eat out at least 2 times a week in and around Tecumseh. Way to go Fongs thats a great business practice. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK.
Great food....the woman who answered the phone had terrible telephone manners. She chose to Interruptive, condescending and rude. It was as if she was doing me a favour taking my order....sheeez.
We love this restaurant. the best chinese food and the best service I've had. It's the only place we would go for chinese when we lived in the area. Now we live in Alabama and I miss their food so much that when we go back to visit it'll be the first stop we make.
