This is not only a good seafood restaurant as I stated before the Prime Rib is fantastic. The service and the view here are both excellent.Situated between Lake St.Clair and the Detroit River over looking a undeveloped island, there are many interesting sights. To our surprise there was a live band in the bar area.We moved there after dinner to enjoy the music and dance.Interior renovations are noticeable and more are expected due to a new lease on the property. Also a new menu will soon be out keeping the favorites with some new items.(This info was given to me by the owner who we talked to briefly)A great night!!!
We visit this restaurant on a fairly regular basis, but I agree with a previous reviewer that the place needs an overhaul and updating! We mainly like it for the setting on the river and the patio dining in warm weather months. Prices are reasonable for what you get, but I think the menu needs to be updated as it has been the same for most of the past ten years since we first dined there!
The food overall was pretty good and you get lots of it. I had the stirfry and there was enough to make two meals so I took some home for the next day lunch. The Bruschetta was a disapointment. The bread too thick and not toasted enough.
Friendly service and as it was a slow night we didn't feel rushed. Overall decent value for the money.
I have been a long time visitor for many years for the only fact of the view and atmosphere.
However the food has always been lacking and there are various pet peeves of mine for a restaurent. The building needs some serious reconstruction and renovations due to the grungy tired look it has had for many years. My last visit had old rotten limes for my corona and silverwhere with food particles stuck to them still. If it wasnt for the gaurenteed sales from the yacht club and the view thins play would be bankrupt in months.
