Cibo Bistro is a very welcome addition to Edmonton! I went to it last night with my fiancé and everything about it was amazing!!! It's a small but very sleek and clean place. The service was quick and friendly. But let's get to the most important part… the food! Absolutely delicious. The restaurant focuses on fresh and local food and making everything in-house and you can tell… Sharing the charcuterie board is a must. The wild boar is amazing. I ordered the Tagliatelle Con Vongole (fresh clams and shallots in white wine) and my fiance ordered the Osso Bucco (braised veal shank preserved lemon gremolata fried bone marrow). So fresh. So tasty. Melts in your mouth. And leaves you wanting more despite being super stuffed! End off the dinner with the Chocolate Trio dessert and you're good to go! I lived in Rome for five years growing up and the food at Allegro is of the same quality and in many cases better than the cuisine in Rome. The Cannelloni is the best I have ever had. The rack of lamb rates 10 out of 10. I just returned from two weeks in Italy and was disappointed in the quality of food in many of the local restaurants. I had their lunch size lasagna and it was fine. Very cheesy. No washroom inside the restaurant but there is one just outside to the left as part of the mall's shared facilities.
