I love this place. All their food is excellent. The gnocchi is to absolutely die for. I recommend this place to absolutely anyone; the price is so reasonable compared with what you get. The service is attentive and you will leave feeling great!
I was really surprised with the service and food here. The prices were good considering the portions. The friendly bantering of the owner at our table during dinner was fun but not obtrusive. He was always willing to answer any questions we may have had about anything on the menu. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and woulnd't hesitate to return. I will certainly recommend it to all our friends. Would have loved to try the desserts but was just too full.
Visited for dinner. 2 guests had the all inclusive fish special and truly enjoyed it. Myself and my husband both had the surf and turf. Very delicious. Food portions are extremely large. Hubby is a big eater and was full when we left. Our waitress was great and the owner visited our table. Will definatley dine agian - prices were excellent for food and portions. Prolofic Pofiterole for dessert is to die for.
The food was excellent, it just melted in your mouth. The service was good and not intrusive. I have not had an opportunity to get out lately but I will be taking a couple for dinner at the end of this month (March) and looking forward to it. I'm glad Hamilton didn't lose another dining room. There aren't enough good places to eat in the East end. Too many fast food, not quality food. Congratulations "Purple Pear"!
Wonderful service and very good food at a very good price. My husband is allergic to strawberries, so a raspberry sauce was offered instead with the baked camembert. We haven't run across many places that are so willing to adjust food for allergy problems. The pasta was a lovely texture and taste but I filled up on the homemade bread that they brought out first. The steak was also very good, with inventive sides, but my husband likes a little more spice. All in all a great experience. Make sure to reserve a table!! Two parties were turned away because they were all booked. Although Barton Street may make you hesitant to go, don't worry its all very pleasant inside.
